Scream starts off causually as what seams to be a stranger calls and he seems to be friendly but the audience know this is not the truth. Half way through the video the sound instantly turns eary as "Scream" says "I want to know who im looking at?" and from then the horror. The house is very dim to follow the mood of the scene and the idea of horror. Near the beginning of the opening screen there is a longshot of the house showing the audience where the scene is based and the surrounding area. This is gives rhe ciewers an idea of what the situation is E.G when scream says the police won't come in time. Towards the end of the scene Casey ducks down and the camera is further above showing that she is underpowered in the scene and that scream has complete control.
